About AddiCakes

AddiCakes Cupcakes is a gourmet cupcake company that is family owned and managed.  We specialize in cupcakes and other delectable delights! We have a passion for God, family and community, which is why AddiCakes Cupcakes is known as “Cupcakes with a Cause” because we believe in giving back to the community through some wonderful local youth organizations. These organizations create outlets and provide resources that these extraordinary souls may not otherwise have.

April and her husband, Malcolm had been talking for many years of starting some kind of family business. For us our family is everything and after God, is the number one priority in our lives.  During our family gatherings, we enjoy food and especially desserts!  Baking became April’s unique way of expressing her love to her family and friends. As a stay at home mom to their daughter, Addison Grace and son, Stone Jacob, God inspired April to start baking out of their home.

April and her mom, Belinda (who  taught her and passed down all of the mouth-watering recipes) have always enjoyed cooking and baking together for the family since April was a little girl. So when trying to decide on what type of family business to pursue it didn’t take long to come up with the idea of a cupcake and more store. Her sisters, Chaundra and Candice came up with the name AddiCakes after April’s daughter Addison Grace. April also has a love for her community and wanted to find a way to bring all of her passions together…God, family, children and baking! Cupcakes with a Cause was then born. Not wanting to start a business that would control their lives, but one that would accompaniment their lifestyle, the guiding principle for AddiCakes had to be different from other stores. The decision was made to not be open on Sundays and major holidays and at least one day a week that would be completely devoted for their own personal time and family time.
